A collaboration between the External link opens in new tab or windowThorncliffe Park Autism Support Network (TPASN) and the External link opens in new tab or windowWomen's Cycling Network with support from organizational partners TNO Gateway Bike Hub and Cycle Toronto, this annual event raises money to provide free summer camps for children with special needs. The camps were hugely successful and welcome both children with and without neurodevelopmental disorders, a practise that builds awareness, understanding and acceptance. TPASN's Dr. Shakhlo Sharipova notes: "There were free camps in the city but none were open for children with special needs." The community and local businesses are invited to help raise $20,000 to fund the camps in the Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park and Taylor-Massey-Oakridge neighbourhoods. Every dollar donated makes a difference. Please, donate generously.
